After taking this course, you should be able to:

  1. 1 Define and discuss the meaning and implications of a first/early episode of psychosis.
  2. 2 Explain the key components of “Coordinated Specialty Care”.
  3. 3 Discuss the RAISE research project: the NIMH program which expanded coordinated specialty care for individuals diagnosed with an initial episode of schizophrenia.
  4. 4 Discuss recommendations for future programming, including how to sustain and build on the model of coordinated specialty care.
