About the Course

This course addresses young children’s mental health by providing a blueprint for child care providers to use when hiring a mental health consultant. The materials presented share current thinking of program administrators from both the private and public sectors on promoting healthy development among the youngest members of our society through competent mental health consultation. Recommendations for action, selected resources, sample program descriptions, and references for further research are included.
