This course describes the problem of sexual boundary violations by mental health providers. The author examines the power imbalance and erotic transference and countertransference that are part of sexual boundary violations. This course also describes ways to develop workshops to educate mental health professionals about the causes and consequences of sexual boundary violations.

  6. 6 Upon completion of this course, the participant will better understand the dynamics issues associated with sexual abuse by clergymen.
  7. 7 Upon completion of this course, the participant will obtain information about reporting sexual boundary violations.
