About the Course

Providing crisis intervention in workplaces requires an ability to integrate four systems: the organization and its leadership, employees and their well-being, the EAP and its standard of care, and you the responder. A workplace reaching out needs help in pivoting from chaos and disruption to stability and optimism. You will learn the clinical foundations of stress reactions, bereavement and resilience. Then, learn to apply interventions based on grounded research to assist organizations and their employees within the EAP framework. This course integrates interventions and concepts from Psychological First Aid, Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Positive Psychology to help move the individual and organization towards recovery.

Please Note The online portion is followed by a live, 1 hour coaching session designed to integrate concepts into practical application in the field. This training meets the needs to become a crisis responder for Crisis Care Network.

This course is based on the recorded webinar, EAP Critical Incident Response: A Multi-Systemic Resiliency Approach created by Robert Intveld, LCSW in 2013.
