About the Course

This course is based on a series of web recordings covering the basics of Acceptance and Commitment Training and Therapy (ACT). Learners can watch individual chapters about the ACT point of view, theory of language and cognition, and then basic interventions based on the theory of language. The interventions presented are appropriate for a wide variety of contexts such as work, school and the clinic. The purpose of the course is to give learners grounding in the “back stage” topics of the ACT to enrich both training and clinical work.

This course is based on the reading online article and recorded webinar, ACT 101: The ACT Point of View Theory of Language and Basic Interventions created by Kevin L. Polk, Ph.D.
