About the Course

In this course, you will learn about remission and recovery in eating disorders (EDs). More specifically you will learn about how such terms are used and vary in definition in the scientific literature and how such definitions are linked to the presence of residual ED symptoms in patients who are considered remitted or recovered. Moreover, you will learn about the different areas of functioning that are impaired in ED patients after treatment despite apparent remission. Finally you will learn about how remission definitions may benefit from the addition of other indicators.

This course is based on the reading online article, Residual Eating Disorder Symptoms and Clinical Features in Remitted and Recovered Eating Disorder Patients created by Dr. Elena Tomba, PhD et al in 2019.
