About the Course

It includes family, client, facility, and policy/system barriers; family, client, facility, and policy/system facilitators; racial and ethnic disparities. It also highlights substance treatment reimbursement programs in Massachusetts that facilitate retention which could be used in other states.

This course is based on the reading-based online, Barriers, facilitators, and disparities in retention for adolescents in treatment for substance use disorders-a qualitative study with treatment providers created by Andrea Acevedo, PhD et al. in 2020.
