Dr. Kathleen Palmer currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Palmer does research about integration and use of internet-based mental health interventions. She has presented at both the state and national level on topics that include undergraduate college students’ attitudes about online versus face-to-face counseling, college students’ attitudes about Internet-based mental health interventions, and college students’ use of mental health-related cell phone apps. Her work has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals.

Barbara McMillan, BA, MS, EdD, LPC has 35 years of experience as a therapist, clinical director, and administrator in mental health and substance abuse programs. She holds degrees in psychology and education, and has been a licensed professional counselor and supervising counselor for many years. After 18 years in various roles in private and public mental health settings, she became a full-time college psychology and sociology instructor.
