Carrie-Anne Myers, PhD (Sociology)
Dr Carrie-Anne Myers joined City in 2006 as a lecturer in Criminology and Sociology. After completing, at the London School of Economics, an Economic and Social Research (ESRC)-funded PhD on School Violence and Bullying, she spent two years at the University of Surrey as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the UK Observatory for the Promotion of Non-Violence. Her research specialisms are primarily in the fields of youth crime, bullying and victimisation processes. She has published extensively on these topics in a range of journals and book chapters.
Helen Cowie, MA; MSc; PhD; FBPS; PGCE; Dip in Psychotherapy
Dr. Cowie is Emeritus Professor at the University of Surrey. Her research focuses on school bullying and she has published mutliple articles in peer reviewed journals.

Barbara McMillan, BA, MS, EdD, LPC has 35 years of experience as a therapist, clinical director, and administrator in mental health and substance abuse programs. She holds degrees in psychology and education, and has been a licensed professional counselor and supervising counselor for many years. After 18 years in various roles in private and public mental health settings, she became a full-time college psychology and sociology instructor.

Target Audience

Counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists and social workers. This course is appropriate for all levels of knowledge.
