About the Course

This research intensive course covers cognitive remediation for gambling disorder. It identifies various forms of cognitive dysfunction in this population. The authors examine attention bias and approach bias, as well as delay discounting, alteration of executive function, the impulsive system, the reflection system, and the interoceptive system. The literature nearly unanimously shows neurocognitive impairments in individuals with addictive disorders are highly significant.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Cognitive Remediation Interventions for Gambling Disorder-A Systematic Review created by Gaëlle Challet-Bouju, PhD. et al. in 2017.
