About the Course

Throughout this workshop, Heidi Schreiber-Pan, Ph.D., LCPC will help you incorporate elements of these modalities to form a comprehensive treatment plan that includes therapeutic strategies and effective interventions. Experience how the successful integration of spirituality can enhance clinical rapport and give clients the sense of feeling understood. • Learn multidisciplinary interventions to treat the whole person • Safely integrate spiritual principles into psychotherapy • Mindfulness practice as a tool for spiritual growth • Discover how stories and metaphors can increase insight and lead to transformation • Experience spiritual practices and tools in psychotherapy Additionally, you will learn how to use metaphors, stories or folktales as a way to shift perspectives and develop an understanding of spiritual concepts such as Zen teachings. You will leave with competence in spiritual/religious assessment, an improved ability to use spiritually-oriented treatment approaches and the skill to add mindfulness techniques to traditional forms of therapy.

Heidi Schreiber-Pan, Ph.D., LCPC, NCC is a successful psychotherapist, author, clinical director and sought-after nationwide speaker on topics of resilience, anxiety, neuroscience, and occupational burnout. As an affiliate and former faculty member of Loyola University, Maryland, her past research has focused on resiliency and psychological well-being, including nature-based mental health. Dr. Schreiber-Pan has worked with various organizations, schools and corporations to reduce stress on a communal level and to increase structural well-being through training in positive psychology as well as emotional intelligence coaching.

Dr. Schreiber-Pan has developed unique continuing education courses that combine established clinical methods such as CBT with innovative treatment approached including nature-based psychotherapy and neuro-counseling.

She is the author of Taming the Anxious Mind: A guidebook to relieve stress and anxiety.
