About the Course

The realm of nature-informed therapy, which integrates nature-based modalities for psychological healing, has garnered increasing attention. This therapeutic paradigm is grounded in the belief that nature imparts substantial mental health benefits, particularly in the context of emotion regulation, self-awareness , and stress reduction. Moreover, the workshop introduces the concept of nature-informed treatment for trauma. Recognizing the profound impact of nature on mental well-being, especially in the realm of trauma, underscores the potential efficacy of incorporating natural elements into therapeutic interventions. The integration of nature-informed approaches into trauma treatment broadens the scope of mental health interventions, providing a holistic and nuanced perspective for addressing psychological distress stemming from traumatic experiences. Through a combination of theoretical discussions and practical exercises, attendees will develop a deeper understanding of how nature can be harnessed as a therapeutic resource to enhance resilience and facilitate the recovery journey from traumatic experiences.

This course is based on the recorded webinar, Nature-Informed Therapy: Unlocking Mental Health and Healing from Trauma created by Heidi Schreiber-Pan in 2024.
