About the Event

Muscle stiffness, pain, and restricted mobility affect a significant portion of the population and are increasingly prevalent in today’s sedentary, technology driven lifestyle. Flexibility limitations interfere with performance, recovery and function. Be the go-to clinician for mobility optimization with these gentle, effective, efficient, and evidence based interventions. This interactive webinar provides allied health professionals with a practical and research supported approach to restoring mobility and reducing painful stiffness using Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and Muscle Energy Techniques (MET). Explore the neurophysiological mechanisms that regulate muscle tone and length, including reciprocal inhibition and post isometric relaxation, and learn how to apply these principles safely and effectively in clinical practice. Through case examples and demonstrations, gain immediately applicable strategies to improve range of motion, reduce painful muscle tension and guarding, and promote measurable functional movement outcomes.

Live Event
This live online event will be held as a Zoom Webinar. Attendees will have the option to interact through features such as the Chat and Q&A, but cameras and microphones will not be enabled.

Learning Objectives

After taking this activity, you should be able to:

  1. 1 Explain the components of flexibility, methods of measurement, and normative joint mobility values relevant to clinical decision making.
  2. 2 Discuss the role of neuromotor reflexes—including muscle spindle and Golgi tendon organ activity—in regulating muscle length, tension, and movement.
  3. 3 Evaluate abnormal neuromotor reflex patterns and select appropriate MET/PNF strategies to improve mobility, reduce pain, and address movement limitations.
  4. 4 Integrate evidence based flexibility interventions into clilent centered plans of care to improve functional outcomes across a plethora of clinical presentations.
