Mandatory Requirements

These hours count toward your 24 CE credit hours, but must cover specific content.

Pain and Symptom Management

A minimum of one (1) of twenty-four (24) hours must be earned in the area of pain and symptom management.

Implicit Bias Training

Beginning in 2022, and all renewals thereafter, licensees seeking renewal must have completed a minimum of one (1) hour of implicit bias training for each year of the applicant’s license cycle.

Licensees seeking renewal must certify on their renewal application that prior to renewing their license they have 
completed a one-time training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the standards in Administrative Rule 338.7126.

About This Approval

Provider Reports CE/CME to CE Broker

24 CE credits must be completed during every 2-year renewal period, approved by the board as follows:

  • No more than 12 CE credits can be earned during one 24-hour period.
  • A licensee shall not earn CE credit for a continuing education program or activity that is identical or substantially identical to a program or activity for which the licensee has already earned credit during the renewal period.

Pain and Symptom Management: A minimum of 1 CE credit must be earned in the area of pain and symptom management.
