Louisiana State Board of Social Workers CE Information

Accepted Approvals

ASWB ACE New York Education Department Board of Social Work 0060

Social workers are limited to 10 hours of asynchronous virtual learning.

Effective October 20, 2025 synchronous interative continuing education opportunities are considered in-person learning.

LCSWs are required to obtain ten (10) of the twenty (20) hours in the area of clinical social work to include diagnosis and treatment annually.

All social workers are required to obtain three (3) hours in the area of social work ethics every two years.

LCSW-BACS are required to obtain three (3) hours in the area of clinical supervision every two years to maintain Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (BACS) designation.
