About the Course

This recorded webinar will discuss multiple evidenced-based interventions any mental health provider can utilize when clients experience arousal dysregulation. This webinar will first discuss what clinicians need to know about the PTSD brain to help provide better psychoeducation to their clients impacted by traumatic stress. Dr. Fatter will review specific observable indicators that their clients are in a state of hyperarousal or hypoararousal. In addition, specific evidenced-based interventions will be reviewed to address common hyper-arousal and hypo-arousal symptoms. Polyvagal theory and the value of the therapeutic relationship in the context of effective trauma treatment will be explored. Dr. Fatter will discuss ways to apply a phase-oriented treatment approach to trauma treatment to help prevent decompensation. This webinar will also address adjunctive therapies to help support stabilization. Clinicians at any stage of their career will benefit from this webinar!

This course is based on the recorded webinar, Polyvagal Theory and Evidenced Based Interventions for Arousal Dysregulation in PTSD created by Daphne Fatter, Ph.D. in 2023.
