About This Approval
The mission of the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is to protect the health, safety and well being of Montana citizens through the licensing of competent health professionals and by the regulation of the related practices to promote the delivery of quality health care.
Each PT & PTA licensee shall obtain 8 hours/credits of continuing education in each 12-month period prior to the renewal date. Licensees renewing for the first time are exempt from CE requirements.
Licensees must establish and maintain detailed records of completed CE in the form of programs and certificates of attendance and make the records available upon board request.” The Board request would be the CE audit.
NOTE: The Board does not pre-approve any activities or sponsors for CE credits. It is the responsibility of the licensee to select programs that contribute to knowledge and competence in the physical therapy field, and meet the qualifications specified by the Board in the Rules – https://rules.mt.gov/browse/collections/aec52c46-128e-4279-9068-8af5d5432d74/sections/3e03b6a7-1be5-4781-a363-4a45b53be1d3
