About the Course

This comprehensive introduction to hypnosis based on the pioneering work of Milton H. Erickson Demystifies the concepts of “trance” and “hypnosis.” Readers are invited to attend one of Bill’s workshops as he takes participants through the basics of trance induction and explains the how, what, and why of hypnosis. Each individual element of trance induction is explained clearly, through the use of case examples, demonstration, and audience participation exercises. This book is taken directly from a workshop, thus capturing the live, irreverent presentation style Bill has.

William Hudson O'Hanlon, M.S.

Bill O'Hanlon is a psychotherapist who was a developer of Solution-Oriented Therapy and a founder of Possibility and Inclusive Therapies. He is a licensed mental health professional, a certified professional counselor, a licensed marriage and family therapist. His clinical work is recognized for its collaborative respectful approach to clients. He is known for his storytelling, irreverent humor, clear and accessible presentation style and his psychotic enthusiasm for whatever he is doing. Bill has now authored or co-authored 19 books. He appeared on Oprah with his book, Do One Thing Different: Ten Simple Ways to Change Your Life. He has also appeared on The Today Show, Canada AM, and Body By Jake. His work has been featured in Ladies Home Journal, New Woman, Newsweek, Bottom Line, Self and The Psychotherapy Networker. He has taught over 900 therapy seminars around the world.
