Samar M. Aoun, MPH, PhD
Dr. Aoun is a Professor of Palliative Care at La Trobe University. She has published more than 100 articles in peer reviewed journals and many of those articles cover end of life issues and bereavement.

Bruce Rumbold holds postgraduate qualifications in physics, pastoral care and health social science, and has published in all three fields
Denise Howting
Denise is a Research Officer at The University of Western Australia Centre for Medical Research. She has published multiple articles on palliative care and end of life issues.

Barbara McMillan, BA, MS, EdD, LPC has 35 years of experience as a therapist, clinical director, and administrator in mental health and substance abuse programs. She holds degrees in psychology and education, and has been a licensed professional counselor and supervising counselor for many years. After 18 years in various roles in private and public mental health settings, she became a full-time college psychology and sociology instructor.

Target Audience

Counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists and social workers. This course is appropriate for all levels of knowledge. This content is at an intermediate level.

  2. 2 Distinguish among the settings of palliative care regarding bereavement service provision.
