Madina Alam

Madina Alam

Madina Alam is a licensed mental health therapist in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is trained in a type of cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT), called exposure response prevention (ERP). ERP is a type of therapy that shows people how to make change versus just talking about it. Exposure work is found to be the #1 type of treatment, research backed to help improve anxiety, trauma and depression. Madina specializes in anxiety related disorders, helping people with their relationships, mood and overall functioning. Talking about how we feel and understanding ourselves is only a small part of change. It means nothing without the follow thru of changed behavior, in session! She believes therapy is similar to personal training…you wouldn’t go to your trainer and talk about why you haven’t been working our or how to workout, you would actually workout!

She is also known for their participation in the 28th season of the popular reality show, 'The Bachelor'. She firmly believes in making mental health discussions more appealing and less stigmatized. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), she uses her platform to promote the importance of therapy and mental health, often emphasizing that ‘saying how you feel is sexy'. Madina's bold and empowering stance has inspired many of her followers to prioritize their mental health and seek professional help when needed. In addition to their advocacy work, Madina is also a talented speaker and model. Her commitment to breaking down stigmas and promoting mental health awareness continues to inspire.
