About the Event

This live webinar event is designed to equip mental health professionals with advanced knowledge and practical skills in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based therapeutic intervention for anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and related conditions. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the theoretical foundations of ERP, including its principles of habituation, inhibitory learning, and emotional processing.

The event emphasizes the development of competencies for designing and implementing personalized ERP interventions tailored to client needs, addressing common challenges such as resistance, avoidance, and treatment adherence. Through interactive case studies, role-plays, and practical exercises, attendees will refine their ability to guide clients in facing fear-provoking stimuli while preventing compulsive behaviors, fostering long-term symptom reduction.

This training is ideal for therapists seeking to expand their proficiency in ERP, enhance treatment outcomes, and integrate cutting-edge strategies into their clinical practice. Join us to deepen your expertise in delivering effective, compassionate care that empowers clients to reclaim their lives from anxiety and OCD.

Live Event This is a live online event. It will be conducted via Zoom Webinar.

Live Event Instructor

Madina Alam

Madina Alam

Madina Alam, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor and ERP-trained therapist specializing in OCD treatment, panic disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias, and anxiety disorders. Based in Charlotte, NC, she offers online therapy via telehealth and trains clinicians in practical ERP application.

Madina came to ERP training after experiencing therapist burnout firsthand, seeing every disorder in community mental health and excelling at none. Learning a treatment that actually works was what brought her back to loving this work. She teaches ERP the way she wished she'd learned it: with real cases, honest clinical conversations, and zero judgment about where you're starting from.

She created two digital workbooks: the ERP Workbook for OCD + Anxiety - a step-by-step action guide that makes you actually face your anxiety, and This Isn't a Habit - a BFRB workbook using Habit Reversal Training for trichotillomania, excoriation, and related behaviors. Both available as digital downloads.

She also organizes and hosts Unfiltered Minds, a nationwide mental health open mic tour bringing real conversations about mental health to cities across the country.
