I. Criteria for those with an applicable Master Degree Applicable Master Degree (see list below) 4000 hours of applicable work experience in the performance domains within the last 10 years 2,800 of the 4,000 hours must be in the counseling performance domain 3 contact hours of ethics II. Criteria for those with an applicable Bachelor Degree Applicable Bachelor Degree (see list below) 6000 hours of applicable work experience in the performance domains within the last 10 years 4,200 of the 6,000 hours must be in the counseling performance domain 3 contact hours of ethics III. Criteria for those with a non-reciprocal credential or license outside of Missouri The Board will consider these on a case by case basis however the following 3 items are required: • Proof of 3 contact hours of ethics • Copy of current credential or license • Letter of good standing from current credentialing or licensing board *Contact the Board office at 573-616-2300 for more information.

Initial: 100 hours of training/education as follows: • CPS Training • 10 hours in Advocacy (Covered by CPS training) • 10 hours in Mentoring/Education (Covered by CPS training) • 10 hours in Recovery/Wellness Support (Covered by CPS training) • 16 hours in Ethical Responsibility (3 hours Covered by CPS training) • 8 Hours of Mental Health or Youth Mental Health First Aid training • 16 hours WRAP Level 1-Seminar 1 training • 28 Additional Hours that relate to behavioral health/peer support • 20 of the 100 hours must be obtained within the previous 12 months of applying Renewal: 6 hours of Ethics

Initial: Complete the MRSS 3 day training program. Renewal: 6 hours of Ethics

Initial training is provided by the Missouri Certification Board. Renewal 6 hours must be ethics.
