About the Course

On August 21, 2002 the APA Council of Representatives adopted a new Ethics Code. The new Code becomes effective on June 1, 2003. This course provides an opportunity to reacquaint yourself with the Code and get updated on changes.

Course text includes two documents: Article 1, “What you need to know about the new code” from the January 2003 issue of Monitor on Psychology  and Article 2, “Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (2010)”.

This course is based on the reading online article, APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct: 2010 Amendments created by American Psychological Association in 2010.
