About the Course

This course is based on a National Cancer Institute publication designed to help teens who are dealing the cancer of a parent. It will help professionals identify areas to address with adolescent clients who have a parent with cancer. Information presented includes facts about cancer and treatments for cancer, changes that are likely to occur in families where a parent has cancer, and ways to take care of the self and find support. Suggestions are also presented for obtaining additional information in order to become as informed as possible.
