About the Course

In this up-close and personal interview, Hedda Bolgar, a renowned psychoanalyst, feminist, social activist, and centenarian shared with us her account of growing old from both a personal and psychoanalytic perspective. At almost 102 years of age, Dr. Bolgar continues to work with patients, teach, supervise, and contribute to the psychoanalytic literature and popular press. This interview will illuminate some of her recent thinking and lived experience around the challenge of growing old in a culture that values youth and denies death.
