About the Course

The interventions based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy are emerging as some of the most evidence-based approaches to helping clients struggling with mental health concerns like depression. This article presents a literature review of studies evaluating the effectiveness of mindfulness on reducing rumination in those patients diagnosed with depression.

Dr. Henderson completed her PhD in clinical psychology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda MD, and my internship at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Medical Center in San Antonio TX. She is am an integrative therapist who focuses on brief, positive, solutions-focused therapy and is experienced in treating a variety of mental health concerns-- depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, parenting concerns, and more. She is currently practicing in Alaska.

Target Audience

Counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists and social workers. It is appropriate for all levels of participants’ knowledge.
