This course examines the misuse of steroids and other APEDs. It includes: an explanation of the different types of APEDs, the history of anabolic steroid use, users and misusers of anabolic steroids, changes in behavior, risks, risk of use in adolescents, their impact on the brain, whether steroids are addictive, testing athletes, preventing misuse, and effective treatment for misuse.
