About the Course

In this course, therapists and their patients will learn how to formulate unique and comprehensive treatment plans for emotional eating disorders: binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, chronic dieting, and body image disorders. This book explores in depth binge eating, anorexia, bulimia, obesity, exercise addiction, men and eating disorders, sexual and substance abuse, bariatric surgery, night eating syndrome, pregnancy, older women, medication, frozen grief, and the healing role of psychotherapy. Ms. Cohen describes how the therapy relationship comes to mirror the eating disorder and therefore exploring the transference becomes a key tool in helping patients recover.

This course is based on the book, Lasagna for Lunch: Declaring Peace With Emotional Eating - Updated created by Mary Anne Cohen, L.C.S.W. in 2013.
