The author explains and demonstrates the differences in the way men and women communicate and approach relationships using examples from everyday life which anyone can relate to. Deborah Tannen, Ph.D. is a professor of linguistics at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and is the author of a number of books about gender differences in relationships and communication. She has received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the National Science Foundation. She has also published articles in the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe and. Her work has also been featured in numerous magazines and she has made several appearances on television.
