Addiction Counselor

Twenty (20) hours of continuing education hours must be on topics categorized by the Board as Co-Occurring, or consist of (10) hours on Mental Health topics and ten (10) hours on alcohol and drug specific topics as defined by the Board.

About This Approval

Renewal timeline. All licenses or certifications shall expire at the end of each fiscal year (June 30) and shall be subject to renewal on the first day of the next fiscal year (July 1st).

3 hours ethics each year. At least ten (10) hours must be alcohol
and drug specific as defined by the Board.

For LADC/MH, the twenty (20) hours of continuing education hours must be on topics categorized by the Board as Co-Occurring, or consist of (10) hours on Mental Health topics and ten (10) hours on alcohol and drug specific topics
