Alcohol & Drug Counselor
INITIAL:
Minimum of 300 clock hours in education or training related to the counseling domains.
- Documentation of six (6) hours in Professional Ethics for counselors.
- Documentation of six (6) hours in ASAM for counselors.
- Documentation of three (3) hours in HIV/AIDS issues for counselors.
RECERTIFICATION:
40 hours of education related to the counseling domains, every 2 years.
- A maximum of 50% of the required hours may be earned through home study/online education
- 6 hours will be in professional ethics
Yes You can use Impact CE for earning your ADC initial credential.
Any course accepted by APSC is applicable to the ADC credential.
