Each requires 40 CE credit hours to renew.
About This Approval
Our distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for addiction counselors, as set forth by the BEADGC.
Initial Certification
For initial certification, BEADGC requires academic degrees rather than educational hours. Thus no courses from this site can be used to fulfill the initial certification requirement.
Interns
a. At least 6 hours of continuing education that pertains to Ethics
b. At least 6 hours of continuing education that pertains to Confidentiality
*both Ethics and Confidentiality are due upon submission of application for internship
c. At least 2 hours of continuing education that pertains to Suicide Prevention, required pursuant to NAC641C.425 and if applicable, the standards of confidentiality set forth in 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and the related provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 set forth in 45 C.F.R. Part 160.

d. At least 6 hours of continuing education that pertains to Diversity/Cultural Competency, required pursuant to NRS 641C.450
Certification Renewal
Two hours of suicide prevention, three hours of ethics and three hours of confidentiality required for renewal.
Impact CE is a service of CE Learning Systems LLC. CE Learning Systems is approved to offer continuing educations courses by NAADAC, and many ICRC certification boards. CE Learning Systems LLC maintains responsibility for the courses.
