Impact CE's distance-learning courses meet the continuing education requirements of the Alaska Board of Massage Therapists, accepted under our NCBTMB approval.
These hours count toward your 16 CE credit hours, but must cover specific content.

Not currently licensed in Alaska or any of the following states: Alabama, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
625 hours of massage therapy education from an *approved massage school. Verification must be sent directly to us by the massage therapy school.
Successful completion of the MBLEX or the NCBTMB Exam. Verification must be sent directly to us by the agency. (NCBTMB Before FEB 1 – 2015)

2 hours of safety education in Bloodborne Pathogens and Universal Precautions

CPR Requirement
Copy of current CPR/First Aid Certification – which must be current when the board reviews your file so please submit a card that is valid for at least 90 days. The CPR requirement may be completed in-person or online. An applicant may receive two (2) hours of the 16 continuing education credits for completion of hands-on cardiopulmonary resuscitation through the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, or an equivalent organization.
*An applicant for renewal may receive two (2) hours of the 16 continuing education credit for completion of a bloodborne pathogens and universal and standard precautions course once every six (6) years.
*An applicant may receive two (2) hours of the 16 continuing education credits through the attendance of a Board of Massage Therapist Board Meeting. To receive these hours, the licensee must email the board right after the meeting to ask for written verification of their attendance in place of a CE certificate for their records.
