Approval for Addiction Counselors in District of Columbia

Impact CE’s distant learning courses meet qualifications for continuing education credit for psychologists as required by the D.C. Board of Psychology.

To qualify for the renewal of a license, an applicant shall complete thirty (30)
hours of valid continuing education during the two (2)-year period preceding the
date the license expires, which shall also meet the following requirements:
(a) At least fifteen (15) hours of valid continuing education shall be
completed in live program(s); and
three (3) hours in ethics
two (2) hours of LGBTQ
10% of total required hours in Public Health Priorities of the District of Columbia

15 credit hours may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses.
