Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
Forty (40) ADAD Approved Continuing Education Hours, six (6) of which are required to be in SUD Ethics, and six (6) of which are required to be in cultural awareness. Initial - 300 credits 270 must be SUD specific. A minimum of six (6) hours of education is required three areas:
- Substance Use Disorder Ethics,
- Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations, part 2 and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
- Culture Awareness
Yes You can use Impact CE for renewing your CSAC credential.
Any course accepted by State of Hawaii Department of Health Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division is applicable to the CSAC credential.
