About the Course

This article investigates the integration of substance use treatment and harm reduction services for people who use drugs (PWUD). Historically, these services have operated independently. The study assesses the alignment of treatment and harm reduction offerings from a multistate sample of providers with the characteristics and needs of clients during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Intersecting Substance Use Treatment and Harm Reduction Services: Exploring the Characteristics and Service Needs of a Community-based Sample of People Who Use Drugs created by Noa Krawczyk, PhD et al. in 2023.
