About the Event

Cervicogenic dizziness is a controversial diagnosis. While no definitive testing exists to establish the diagnosis, there are several ways to assess cervical function and determine if the cervical spine is contributing to dizziness. Vestibular involvement must be ruled out, though the different systems could be contributing to dizziness simultaneously.

This live interactive course is designed to assist professionals in differentiating between cervical vertigo and other types of dizziness. This course will include instruction in basic anatomy and physiology of the cervical spine, “testing” for cervicogenic dizziness, treatment options, and recovery. The discussion will also include red flags and appropriate referrals.

Tonya Fuller, MSPT is the founder of Dynamic Mobility & Balance Center in Englewood, CO, a private practice that specializes in the treatment of neurological injuries, brain injury, and vestibular disorders. Tonya received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001 from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX. She began her career at Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, which is where she started treating vestibular disorders in 2006. Throughout her career, Tonya has participated and assisted on various research projects and has developed and presented a multitude of lectures to physicians and peers. Tonya develops and teaches continuing education courses to physicians, colleagues, and peers on topics involving the diagnosis and treatment of neurological, vestibular, and balance disorders.
