About the Event

This session explores how subtle, repeated, and often normalized workplace interactions can affect emotional safety, belonging, trust, communication, job satisfaction, retention, and overall well-being.

Participants will examine the difference between intent and impact, learn how microaggressions may appear through language, behavior, policies, and workplace culture, and practice strategies for responding as recipients, bystanders, colleagues, supervisors, and leaders. The training also addresses how race-based stress can accumulate over time, contributing to emotional labor, vigilance, burnout, and disengagement.

Research continues to demonstrate that microaggressions and racial discrimination are associated with workplace stress, burnout, and poorer mental health outcomes.

Live Event This is a live online event. It will be conducted via Zoom Webinar.
