About the Course

This course explores how Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) influence prevention planning efforts. Participants will examine the five key SDOH domains — education access and quality, health care access and quality, neighborhood and built environment, social and community context, and economic stability — and learn strategies to incorporate these factors into more effective prevention initiatives.

This course is based on the reading online article, Addressing Social Determinants of Health Through Prevention Planning created by Great Lakes PTTC et al in 2022.
