- LACT Licensed Addiction Counselor Technician (LACT)
- LAAC Licensed Associate Addiction Counselor (LAAC)
- LIAC Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor (LIAC)
Each requires 30 CE credit hours to renew.
About This Approval
Our distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for addiction counselors, as set forth by the ABBHE.
ABBHE requires that 20 hours for recertification be substance abuse specific. Please be aware of these requirements when selecting courses on this site.
For recertification 3 hours are required in ethics or mental health law and 3 hours are required in cultural competency or diversity.
Regarding supervision renewal, for initial renewal period, 12 hours of supervision CE must be earned. For each subsequent renewal, 6 hours of supervision CE must be earned.
ABBHE does not accept our courses for initial certification hours.
Impact CE is a service of CE Learning Systems LLC. CE Learning Systems is approved to offer continuing educations courses by NAADAC, APA, ASWB, and many ICRC certification boards. CE Learning Systems LLC maintains responsibility for the courses.
