Impact CE's distance-learning courses meet the continuing education requirements of the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists, accepted under our AOTA approval.
These hours count toward your 20 CE credit hours, but must cover specific content.
A minimum of one (1) hour must be earned in the area of pain and symptom management.
A minimum of one (1) hour must be earned in the area of implicit bias training.
Completion of training to identify victims of human trafficking is required for initial licensure that meets the standards of Administrative Rule 338.1215. This is a one-time training. Licensees seeking renewal must certify on their renewal applications that prior to renewing their license they have completed a one-time training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the standards in Administrative Rule 338.1215.

Each requires 20 CE credit hours to renew.
20 CE credits must be completed during every 2-year renewal period, approved by the board as follows:
Pain and Symptom Management: A minimum of 1 hour of the required continuing education must be earned in the area of pain and symptom management.
Implicit Bias Training: Licensees seeking renewal must have completed a minimum of 1 hour of implicit bias training for each year of the applicant’s license cycle.
Human Trafficking: Licensees seeking renewal must have completed training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the standards in Administrative Rule 338.1215 prior to renewing their license. The training must only be completed one time.
