About This Approval

Occupational Therapy Governing Board was established to create a pathway to license those individuals performing Occupational Therapy in the State of New Hampshire under the regulation of the Allied Health Professionals Governing Board.

Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Licenses expire on December 31st.

  • At least one-half of the contact hours required shall relate directly to the clinical application of occupational therapy
  • The remaining hours shall relate to general occupational therapy theory and practice, including but not limited to: supervision and consultation skills, curriculum development, and trans-disciplinary issues or skills.

All 24 hours may be earned through distance learning.
