2 hours of ethics If you are a specialist, 40 of the 60 hours, or for first renewal 20 of the 40 hours, must be in your specialty. All CPR courses must have a hands-on portion. You may claim four (4) hours of CE for completing your CPR course. The anesthesia permit renews at the same time as your Kansas dental license If you wish to administer a sedative agent that is designed to achieve conscious sedation you must have a level I permit If you wish to administer a sedative agent that is designed to achieve parenteral conscious sedation you must have a level II permit If you wish to administer a sedative agent that is designed to achieve deep sedation or general anesthesia you must have a level III permit
