About the Event

This training explores how traumatic experiences affect neurological functioning, emotional regulation, behavior, and overall well-being across the lifespan. Participants will examine the Triune Brain model, including the survival-focused brainstem, emotion-driven limbic system, and reasoning prefrontal cortex, to better understand how trauma can disrupt regulation and contribute to chronic states of hyperarousal, shutdown, and dysregulation.

The training reviews the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and chronic stress on physical health, attachment, emotional functioning, cognition, and social relationships. Learners will also explore the Window of Tolerance framework to understand how trauma affects an individual’s ability to remain emotionally regulated and engaged in daily life.

Emphasis is placed on recognizing trauma responses in clinical and healthcare settings while building trauma-informed strategies that promote safety, stabilization, resilience, and nervous system regulation. Integrating neuroscience, attachment theory, and practical intervention approaches, this training provides clinicians with tools to support compassionate and effective care for individuals impacted by trauma.

Live Event This is a live online event. It will be conducted via Zoom Webinar.
