IDFPR Professional Counselor Licensing and Disciplinary Board CE Information
Accepted Approvals
Impact CE’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for professional counselors, as required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
All clinical professional counselors are required to complete 9 hours in clinical supervision training of the 30 continuing education hours required. This is a one-time (lifetime) requirement.
Implicit Bias Training – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the rule and may not offer CEs.
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training. The training must meet the requirements listed in the rule.
Mandated Reporter Training – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training. The training must meet the requirements listed in the law.
Alzheimers Education – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training. The training must meet the requirements listed in the law. “This requirement shall only apply to health care professionals who provide health care services to, and have direct patient interactions with, adult populations age 26 or older in the practice of their profession.”
1 hour Cultural Competency training.
CE Learning Systems has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5951. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. CE Learning Systems is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
