Our distance learning courses are available for continuing education credit for addiction counselors, as set forth by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

AddictionCounselorCE.com courses have been reviewed and approved by OASAS. To determine a particular course approval by level of initial and renewal credentialing, check the OASAS Information box on the detail page for any course.

CASAC
You must document completion of continuing professional education consisting of a minimum of 60 clock hours (40 hours must be related to substance abuse counseling).

- One time Requirements:
https://oasas.ny.gov/casac-one-time-requirements

- A continuing requirement for six (6) hours of OASAS approved ethics training will be required upon every renewal.

*If you hold a Gambling Specialty Designation, an additional 10 hours of gambling-related education and/or training must be completed and submitted.

CPP & CPS
You must document completion of continuing professional education consisting of a minimum of 60 clock hours (40 clock hours must be related to substance use disorder prevention).
