National Board for Certified Counselors

CE Learning Systems has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5951. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. CE Learning Systems is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

National certification is a voluntary professional credential; it is not a membership. In order to maintain certification, counselors must first meet the established qualification standards and then must maintain annual fees and compliance with NBCC ethical standards. As part of the maintenance of certification, counselors attest to compliance with NBCC ethics policies, including disclosure requirements, each year. 

Nationally Certified Counselors are required to accrue 100 clock hours of continuing education activities that meet guidelines in each five-year certification period. There is no restriction on the percentage of those hours that may be accrued from distant learning courses.
